
Gerald D. Fagerquist, 90, of Fremont passed away Monday July 22, 2024, at Pathfinder Place in Fremont. He was born July 2, 1934 in Valley to Ray and Mirte (Toft) Fagerquist.
Gerald grew up in Valley and also lived in various places around Arlington, Nebraska, and Warsaw, Missouri. He married Patricia Hall on June 7, 1952 in Papillion. She preceded him in death September 4, 2005.
He was a former member of the Arlington Community Church and the Elks Club. He was also a former member Fremont Eagles Club, Arlington Volunteer Fire Department, former Cub Scout leader and assistant Boy Scout leader. He was a mechanic at Hormel in Fremont until retiring in 1996.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; son, Randy Fagerquist; and sisters, Marilyn Fagerquist and Elaine Larson.
He is survived by his son, Rustin Fagerquist special friend (Linda Holloran) of Millard; daughters, Julie (Will) Sheets of Omaha and Jody (Marvin) Meier of Arlington; sisters, Maxine Meier of Arlington, Sharon (Doug) McGuire of Fremont and Jackie (Gary) Grefe of Arlington; brother Eugene Fagerquist of Buckley, Washington; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. Rev. Allison Siburg will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Reckmeyer-Mosser Funeral Home in Arlington.
Private family interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Arlington.
