Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin today (July 8) on the old U.S. Highway 30 North Bend to Fremont project, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The project includes an asphalt overlay, bridge repairs, and other minor work on old U.S. 30, now known as Platte View Road.
Traffic will be maintained with various lane closures and flaggers. There are detours planned for the bridge repair work. Anticipated completion is Jan. 2025.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
