
Fremont police arrested one man following an incident Monday morning.
At about 12:44 a.m., officers responded to the area of West Sixth Street and North I Street in reference to a man waving a gun. A second caller reported that the individual had previously pulled a gun on two people at a residence in the 800 block of North Main Street. A third caller advised that the man was seen walking down the street pulling on vehicle door handles.
A search for the man was unsuccessful until 4:25 a.m. when Douglas County deputies advised that they had contact with the individual on a traffic stop. It was discovered that the vehicle the man was in had been stolen in Fremont.
Keiden R. Sovey, 23, who is homeless, was arrested for attempt of a Class II misdemeanor, disturbing the peace, felony possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and felony theft by unlawful taking.
