Officials with the Nebraska Department of Transportation had some good news Monday afternoon.
The eastbound U.S. Highway 30 traffic between North Bend and Fremont has been shifted to the newly completed eastbound lanes. This completes the final section of the Columbus to Fremont Expressway.
Various temporary lane closures are being used to finish permanent striping and other work. Officials advise motorists to be aware of flaggers, slow or stopped traffic and newly placed stop signs.
