The Bob Tichota Fire Prevention Family Fun Day is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15 at the Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area Activity Center at 439 W. State Lakes Road.
The event is hosted by the Fremont Rural Fire Department and East Central Nebraska Fire Prevention and Co-op.
The event includes kids games and activities, smoke trailer experience and fire truck rides. Smokey Bear is also scheduled to make an appearance. Free hamburgers, hot dogs and chips will be provided.
Free will donations will be accepted.
Please note that a valid vehicle park entry permit is required for any motorized vehicle entering the State Lakes Recreation Area.
