
MainStreet of Fremont has announced its lineup for the 2024 Concert in the Park series.
The concerts are scheduled on Thursday nights in June and the Thursday before John C. Fremont Days (July 11) in John C. Fremont Park. Fremont Parks and Recreation will be hosting kids activities in the park starting at 6:30 each night. Music is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m.
Food vendors, including Reinita Restaurant, Nick’s Street Eats and Scouty’s Shaved Ice, have been invited to participate. Fuze it or Lose it Permanent Jewelry will be there for the July 11 concert.
“The Concert in the Park series is a free, fun, family-friendly event for everyone in the community,” MainStreet Executive Director Lainey Paquette said. “We have so much fun hosting this series.”
High Heel the Band of Omaha will start the series on June 6. The group that performs rock, country pop and ballads is sponsored by Abe Krasne Home Furnishings. On June 13, Aux Chord, sponsored by the Fremont & Dodge Convention and Visitors Bureau, the City of Fremont and the Business Improvement District (BID), will take the stage. The group plays a variety of genres, including hip-hop, grunge, country and 1980s metal music.
Honey Town, sponsored by the Dodge County Realty Group, will perform on June 20. The professional events band from Lincoln provides an array of family-friendly music. On June 27, country and rock performer Logan Samford will provide the entertainment. The solo act is sponsored by RVR Bank.
The finale of the season will showcase The SilverMoon Band. The five piece country and classic rock band features performers from the area, including drummer Dave Smith of Arlington, bassist Eric Johnson of Morse Bluff, soundman Jeff Nelson of Fremont and Lincoln residents Dave Smid and Erin Eairleywine-Ganzel. Smid, a guitarist, and Eairleywine-Ganzel, a keyboardist/flautist, are Fremont High School graduates.
