Fremont Public Schools is planning an open house to celebrate the retirement of Kevin Eairleywine as the executive director of human resources/elementary operations.
Eairleywine is retiring after 40 years of service to FPS.
The open house is scheduled for 3:30 to 6 p.m. May 14 at the Main Street Education & Administration Center in the East Meeting Room. Refreshments will be served.
Eairleywine began his service at FPS in 1984 as a classroom teacher at Washington Elementary School. Throughout his tenure he has served as a teacher, elementary principal at Washington and Clarmar, assistant high school principal, assistant middle school principal and student services director. He assumed his duties as executive director of human resources and elementary operations in 2008.
“We appreciate the work Kevin has accomplished at Fremont Public Schools over the past 40 years – his leadership and commitment to FPS and the community will be missed,” Fremont Superintendent Mark Shepard said.
Eairleywine has also served as the executive director of the Fremont Public School Foundation. He will remain in that position.
