LeRoy H. Stork, 90 years, of Seward, NE passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at Kinship Pointe in Seward.
LeRoy was born on June 15, 1933 to Edward and Charlotte (Fuchs) Stork on the family farm in Arlington, NE. He served in the United States Naval Reserve from October 24, 1951 to October 23, 1959. On March 1, 1953, he married Marion (Geisler) Stork at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Arlington, NE. After marriage, they lived at Fontanelle, NE. In 1957, they moved to Winslow, NE and lived there for 62 years. In 2019, the couple resided in Seward, NE.
LeRoy was a past member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper, NE, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont, NE, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. He volunteered as an EMT and a fireman for the Winslow Fire Department. He also served on the Winslow City Board.
In LeRoy’s spare time, he enjoyed traveling and gardening.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Marion; sister, Eunice; and grandson, Lee Stork.
He is survived by sons, Michael (Alice Joy) Stork, Steven (Carol) Stork, and Eric (Stephanie) Stork; daughters, Patricia (Gary) Hinsley, Karla Anderson, and Carrie Stork; twin brother, Charles (Carolyn) Stork; sisters, Ruth Doelman and Eva Stork; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 22, 2024 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE. Pastor David Rempfer will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Moser’s in Fremont.
Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
