Fremont Public Works Director Justin Zetterman said Tuesday that Broad Street will be closed from Eighth and 10th Street beginning at 6 Wednesday night (April 10).
The closure was expected to begin on April 15, but the contractor for Fremont Public School is ahead of schedule.
Due to the use of heavy equipment and a large crane being brought in to dismantle the pedestrian walkway, the stretch of Broad will be closed through at least Friday. Zetterman said the closure could stretch into Saturday morning.
