Gary “Bugsy” J. Rolenc, 79, of Beatrice passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. He was born on Feb. 23, 1945 in Fremont to Joseph and Anna (Voboril) Rolenc.

Bugsy served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from September 16, 1965 to September 5, 1969. He owned and operated A.R.E. Pest Control in Beatrice. Bugsy enjoyed restoring tractors and breakfast at the Sale Barn with his friends. In his younger years, he spent much time hunting, fishing and playing softball.

Bugsy is survived by his sister, Virginia Pullen; brother, Milo Rolenc and wife Mary, all of Fremont; nieces and nephews, Ed Pullen and wife Julie of Elkhorn, Lori Peters and husband Steve of West Point, Ken Pullen and wife Denise of Omaha, Rodney Rolenc and wife April of North Bend, Jeanette Ostrand of Fremont; along with several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant twin brothers, James and John.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice.

Inurnment with military honors at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
