At about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, Fremont police were called to the intersection of 23rd and Lincoln Avenue due to the report of a hit-and-run traffic accident.
As officers were in route to the accident scene, they were informed that witnesses to the accident had followed the vehicle that had left the scene to the area of 20th and Pearl Street. Officers arrived at the scene and after conducting an investigation, arrested Alex Kitzelman, 56, of Fremont for aggravated driving under the influence over .15, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and failure to yield the right of way.
