Cross County held off a fourth-quarter rally by North Bend to defeat the Tigers 61-53 in the C2-5 boys district basketball final Monday night.
The Cougars led 29-20 at halftime and 35-23 after three quarters. Kyler Hellbusch helped the Tigers cut into the deficit. He hit a pair of 3-point baskets to make it 52-48 with :46 remaining, but North Bend couldn’t get any closer.
Cross County improves to 22-5 while the Tigers fall to 17-7.
