UScellular is partnering with Screen Sanity to host a special in-person event that will bring together parents and caregivers to address one of today’s most challenging parenting topics: screen time.

“We are the first generation to raise digital natives — kids who’ve never known a world without the internet or smartphones — and the responsibility can feel overwhelming,” Screen Sanity Co-Founder Tracy Foster said. “Screen Sanity Parent Night offers an opportunity for parents and community members to learn healthy tech habits and gain strategies for mentoring kids in a digital world.”

Screen Sanity Parent Night is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 27) at Johnson Crossing Academic Center, 200 Johnson Road in Fremont. Registration and additional details are available at https://airtable.com/app3MoyQA0gMOryxh/pagnub1Pu9jqJ6rnB/form.

“It’s an honor to partner with an organization like Screen Sanity to provide families in eastern Nebraska with resources that can help them have engaging discussions about how everyone in the family uses their technology,” said Shelly Pluta, senior director, local marketing strategy and brand activation at UScellular.

Relevant for caregivers of toddlers to teens, Screen Sanity Parent Night will cover screen time, online safety, filters, smartphones and social media. The workshop is designed only for adults. However, parents will walk away with conversation-starting tips for initiating important dialogue with children.

UScellular initially partnered with Screen Sanity in July 2023 and together introduced the Smarter Start Toolkit – a free, downloadable kit for families looking for guidance on building better digital habits.
