Marlene (Lahman) Tuckerman, 81, of Lincoln passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, from a long bout with dementia, surrounded by her family. Marlene was born Oct. 21, 1942, in Fremont and moved to Lincoln a year or two after she graduated from Fremont High School to be closer to her future husband (Larry).
She is survived by her husband, Larry Tuckerman; her two sons, Mark and Mike Tuckerman; and daughter-in-law, Jan Tuckerman; granddaughter, Jenna Tuckerman; sister, Karen Domina and nieces, Carol Deboer and Sara Parkening.
As an adult, her earliest hobby was creating ceramics. Many of which still adorn her home in Lincoln and other family members’ homes. All of which are cherished by her family and will continue to be so far into the future. She also enjoyed bowling and was on a team for many years. The team once placed in the top-10 nationally. Her work life consisted of doing retail and office work, where she was known for always being helpful. But her main job was being a very busy mom having to keep track of two young boys who were bound and determined to get into trouble.
Private services were held Jan. 17 in Lincoln.
As Marlene enjoyed dogs, memorials can be given to Capital Humane Society in Lincoln.
