
The Dodge County Attorney’s Office on Monday dismissed the criminal cases that were filed against Rachel “Rae” Tuff and Theresa Macrander.
On July 24, 2023, the DCA Office filed criminal complaints charging Tuff with one count of violation of the Commercial Dog and Cat Operator Inspection Act, a Class I misdemeanor, and theft by deception, a Class II misdemeanor. Macrander was charged with one count of violation the Commercial Dog and Cat Operator Inspection Act.
In a press release, the DCA Office said the cases involving the two women were dismissed without prejudice due to the unavailability of necessary out-of-state witnesses. The release continues that the office remains “committed to prosecuting these cases to the fullest extent of the law” and will refile these cases once circumstances allow.
