KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced this week’s football players of the week. Tyson Denkert of Midland University was selected as the NAIA National Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance on Saturday. He is joined by Joaquin Collazo III of Bethel (Tenn.), who was named the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week, and Bradley Myers from Evangel (Mo.) was named the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week. The trio were selected based on their performances from October 23-29 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Denkert, a sophomore from Kenesaw, Nebraska, had 418 all-purpose yards as the Warriors won in two overtimes at Concordia. He had 199 yards in returns, including a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. On offense, he had 215 yards on 31 rushes with a touchdown run of 75 yards.
