
Midland University will perform the Broadway musical hit “Something Rotten” Nov. 9-12 in Kimmel Theatre.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9-11 with a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 12. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens, students, and members of the Fremont Midland Entertainment Series. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Midlandu.edu/tickets, calling the Midland box office at 402-941-6399, or by visiting the box office in Kimmel Theatre, Mondays through Fridays from noon to 3 p.m.
The musical comedy, directed and choreographed by Midland Director of Theatre Dan P. Hays, delivers non-stop laughter, dazzling performances, tap dancing, and unforgettable entertainment. Set in the Renaissance era, the show follows the tale of two struggling playwrights/actors, Nick and Nigel Bottom, who find themselves in a theatrical rivalry with William Shakespeare. Faced with Shakespeare’s fame and fortune, they embark on a hilarious journey to create the world’s first musical.
Jerry Ditter is in charge of set design and technical direction, and is assisted by Cole Burton, Shaleigh Schall, and Mason Dahlke. Costumes are designed by Lee Meyer and Carter Anderson.
