Sharon Kay Kiger, 78, of Fremont died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Sharon was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Omaha to Harry and Esther ‘Slack’ Kitzelman. She married William L. Kiger on July 4, 1966. Sharon was a homemaker and an avid crafter, quilter and she did woodworking with her husband, Bill. She was a bright light in every way. She had an infectious laugh that you could find in a crowd. She loved her husband, kids and grandkids and was known to give amazing hugs.

Tristan Thurlow of Fremont

Dixie Thurlow of Omaha

Kolten Thurlow of Phoenix, Arizona

Many nieces and nephews

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Max and his wife Marjorie Kitzelman, Phyllis and her husband Gordon Wooten, Donald Kitzelman, brother-in-law Robert Kiger, sister-in-law Alice Jessen and her husband Glenn Jessen.

 

The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Following the service a luncheon will be served at the Izaak Walton west of Fremont.
