David R. Patterson, 67, of Fremont passed away, Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at his home.
David was born July 18, 1956, in Columbus, Kansas, to JR and “Francene” (Berry) Patterson. David resided in Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, and then to Fremont. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1974. David married Denise Monson on July 4, 1979, at St. Timothy Lutheran in Fremont. They moved to Arlington, Moore, Oklahoma, returned to Fremont, then to Baytown, Texas, for many years before coming back to Fremont once again.
He was a member of Church of Christ in Fremont. David enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Some of David’s favorite outdoor activities included camping, boating, airboating, and zipping around in his hovercraft.
David is survived by his wife, Denise of Fremont; sons Davis Patterson of Houston and Dylan Patterson of Fremont; sisters Rebekah (Dennis) Crawford of Parker, Arizona, Rachel (Michael) Liester of Stanton; grandchildren Cameron, Landin, and Teegan; sisters-in-law Jennifer Monson and Alison Monson both of Fremont, Jane (Rick) Tucker of Nickerson and Patricia Taylor of Ames; brothers-in-law John Monson and Danny Taylor both of Fremont; step-mother Susan Patterson of Fremont; and mother-in-law Cherie Schulz of Fremont; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and best of friends, Tom Layman and Phil Patrick.
David was preceded in death by his parents; fathers-in-law John Monson, Ralph Taylor and Willard Schulz; and brother-in-law, William Taylor
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 28, at Fremont Church of Christ in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com.
