Sharon Ann ‘Hammer’ Campbell, 78, of Ames died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 at home.
Sharon was born March 10, 1945, in Wayne to Willard and Leona ‘Test’ Hammer. She grew up in Wayne and graduated from Wayne High School in 1963. While living in Wayne she worked at the Café. She moved to Omaha after high school. She married Charles Campbell in Omaha on Nov. 28, 1975. Sharon worked as a pharmaceutical buyer for Clarkson Hospital/UNMC until retiring in 2012. The couple moved to Ames in 2000.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2007, parents, sister Barbara Hammer, three brothers Ronnie, Roger and Kevin.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church in Wayne. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
