Gloria Ann Hoffman, 93, of Fremont passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha related to a massive stroke. But her smile and loving eyes will always be with us. She was born Sept. 6, 1929, to Henry and Anne (Cadle) Hoffman in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She attended Fremont Alliance Church and loved to travel. She enjoyed being with family and friends and liked painting and gardening in her spare time.
Gloria is survived by her sons, Kenneth Ebel and wife Ivani of Woodbury, Minnesota, and Steve Ebel of Linn, Missouri; daughter, Phylis Mooney and partner Gary Vetick of Omaha; brother, Gene Hoffman and wife Marge of Kalispell, Montana; sister, Elaine Preszler of Fremont; grandchildren, Paul Mooney of Fremont, Brent and Alex Ebel of St. Paul, Minnesota, and great-grandson, Trey Mooney of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Bill Ebel; longtime partner, Ronald Whittle; brother, Leroy Hoffman and beloved son-in-law, Tom Mooney.
Celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com.
