Dwaine E. Lauer, 84, of Fremont passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at his home. He was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Arnold to Karl and Alvina (Ebler) Lauer.
Dwaine was raised at Merna and also lived at Milford and Dodge for 18years. Dwaine married Rita Kucera on Nov. 2, 1979, in Fremont. He came to Fremont in 1991. He did work in Iowa and Omaha in the nursing home industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley (Dean) Wilmoth.
Dwaine is survived by his wife Rita of Fremont; son, Randy (Joyce) Lauer of Lincoln; daughters, Mystii Lauer and Monique (Brad) Peetz all of Seward, and Chantal (Dan) Klitz of Omaha; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday also at Moser’s in Fremont. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
