Gloria J. Lang, 91, of Fremont passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Dunklau Gardens.
Gloria was the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Helsen) Michael. Born February 25, 1932, on the family farm near Magnolia, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia, Iowa. Gloria graduated from Magnolia High School in 1950. She married John Lang in 1956. John preceded her in death in 1991.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in the women’s Eunice Circle and Ladies Aid. She had been a volunteer at the Fremont Area Medical Center and a volunteer for the blood mobile for many years. Gloria’s favorite hobby was to travel.
Survivors include son John (Lori) of Fremont, daughter Michaela (Randy)Brunmeier of Omaha, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and special friend Jerry Getzfrid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Peggy Robertson of Wisconsin.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 6, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel.
