Officials with the Nebraska Department of Transportation said that as early as next week, Cedar Valley Paving will be paving the east-bound lanes in the North Bend to Fremont project.
Since this work will now be within view of traffic from the new U.S. Highway 30 alignment, officials want to remind motorists to be cautious when traveling through the project.
This work will bring with it an increase in the amount of construction traffic, including concrete trucks, which will be making frequent stops and turns, throughout the project. Drivers need to be alert to this fact.
Also, as this work progresses, it will become necessary to close abutting county roads to allow for the work to continue through these locations.
Officials hope to keep inconveniences to a minimum, but some disruptions will be unavoidable. The public’s continued cooperation and patience is appreciated.
