Bell Street viaduct to close Tuesday for repairs

city-of-fremont

Beginning on Tuesday (May 30), the Bell Street viaduct in Fremont will be closed to all traffic for repairs.

The closure is expected to run through November. During this time, the structural supports at each end of the viaduct will be repaired and the drive lines will be resurfaced and repaired. Passenger vehicles should find alternate routes.

East of Bell Street, the existing railroad tracks can be crossed at Luther Road, Johnson Road or on Highway 275. West of Bell Street, the existing railroad tracks can be crossed at Union Street, Main Street or Broad Street. Trucks should utilize existing posted truck routes to avoid the closure.

The City of Fremont thanks motorists for their patience and understanding as repairs are made to critical infrastructure of the City’s transportation network for the safety of the traveling public.

Please contact Fremont Director of Public Works Justin Zetterman at 402-727-2639 or justin.zetterman@fremontne.gov with any questions regarding
the project.
