Law enforcement authorities are searching for a 22-year-old Council Bluffs man who is accused of a shooting death Friday morning in Blair.

Blair police said a warrant has been issued for Elijah E. Logan. Federal authorities and area law enforcement agencies are working to find him.

Authorities responded at 6:30 this morning in the 1000 block of Park Street to a report of a shooting with injuries. Two victims were discovered, including a man that was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, a woman, sustained gunshot wounds to her legs. An infant inside the home was not harmed.

Logan, who is 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, reportedly fled the scene in a green 1988 Jeep Cherokee with Iowa license plates NAM–032.

Blair Community Schools sent out a notice to parents Friday morning notifying them of a murder in a neighborhood by the high school.

“The suspect is known to authorities and has fled the area,” Blair Superintendent Randall Gilson said in a letter to staff and families. Blair police said in a Facebook post at 8:35 a.m. that the incident no longer posed a threat to the public.
