SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced this week’s softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 14-20, 2023. Aliyah Rincon of Midland University was selected as the GPAC Pitcher of the Week, marking her third-straight selection.
Rincon, a junior from Granada Hills, California, pitched a perfect game last week at Nebraska Wesleyan. She sat down the first 12 hitters via a strikeout and totaled 14 punchouts for the game. At the plate, she had an RBI double in game one and added two more RBI in game two. This season, she has a record of 9-2 with an ERA of 1.87 with 97 strikeouts.
