CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – Over the tournament weekend, coaches from the Women’s Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) voted on all-conference teams for the 2022-23 season. Midland University saw our players earn All-WMCH honors while head coach Jason White was named the WMCH Coach of the Year.
Earning first-team honors were Hannah Stone and Ally Rakowski. Kayla Flanigan was named to the second team while Callie Maguire was named to the rookie team.
Rakowski, a junior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, leads the ACHA with 49 points this season with a nation-leading 30 goals and 19 assists. Eight of her goals were game-winners while five came on the power play.
Stone, a senior from Killingworth, Connecticut, has 17 wins in net this year after the conference tournament. She owns a .947 save percentage, which ranks third among goalies that appeared in more than 10 games. Her seven shutouts this year ranked second in the ACHA as well.
Flanigan, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, ranks third in the ACHA in points with 45. She has scored 22 goals so far this season and has a team-high 23 assists, which ranks sixth nationally.
Maguire, a freshman from Minnedosa, Manitoba, ranks fifth in the ACHA among all rookie skaters with 33 points. She has the second-most goals scored with 20 to go along with 13 assists.
Coach White guided the Warriors to the WMCH Championship this past weekend. The team has comprised a record of 26-5-4 so far this year and is currently ranked No. 2 in the final poll heading into the 2023 ACHA Women’s Division 1 National Tournament. Midland will be the two-seed when play gets underway in Marlborough, Massachusetts on March 16. The tournament runs through March 20 at the New England Sports Center just outside of Boston.
