Richard Paul Lumb passed away peacefully on November 7, 2022, in Fremont at the age of 77. Richard was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1963 and from Union College in Schenectady, New York. He then moved to Omaha where he met his wife, worked at HDR and Kirkham-Michael in Omaha, and Metropolitan Community College in Elkhorn, and had three children.
Richard loved model trains, riding, drawing and taking pictures of trains, playing piano, and being a husband and father. He was a member of the National Model Railroad Association, the National Association of Railroad Passengers, the Camerail Club, and Knights of Columbus, as well as being a Mason and Shriner briefly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard T. and Helen Lumb; son, Richard J. Lumb; granddaughter, Samantha L. Penn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Elsie Horn; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Leslie Folger.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Lumb; brothers, Robert Lumb and Daniel Lumb; daughters, Katrina Lumb and Sara Penn; son-in-law, Jeremy Penn; grandchildren, Isaac and Eleanor Penn; sisters-in-law, Keya Horn and Kristie Horn; nieces and nephews, Alex Lumb, Jeannette Lumb, Mark Wiranowski, Kat Wiranowski, Jason Folger, Jennifer Folger, and Grant Folger.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, with Rosary at 4 at Dugan Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Memorials suggested to Dodge County Humane Society, Methodist Fremont Health Hospice, National Model Railroad Association or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
