SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced this week’s GPAC Volleyball Players of the Week for matches played from August 29 to September 4. Midland University’s Hope Leimbach was named the Setter of the Week for the second time this season.
Leimbach, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged 11.79 assists per set and guided the Warriors to a .219 hitting percentage. In a victory over No. 4-ranked Park, she had a season-high 62 assists. Defensively, she had 44 digs (2.32 avg.) completing a pair of double-doubles.
Midland (11-1, 1-0 GPAC) will be back in action on Wednesday this week with a home match against No. 10 Concordia. First serve is slated for 7:30 p.m. inside the Wikert Event Center.
