4 Junior golfers from the Fremont Golf club, Boston Bojanski, Jackson Luebbe, Trey Mooney and Harper Kalin teamed up with 4 Juniors from Happy Hollow: Jack Kelley, Chloe Diprima, Knox Pocras and Leo Mullen, to win the 2022 Nebraska PGA Junior League Sectional, this past Saturday, at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn.
The group played in a sectional qualifier against 3 other all star teams from Lincoln, Sioux City and Spencer, Iowa. Teams played a 2 person scramble and counted the 3 best scores of 4 over 9 holes. Team Eastern Nebraska shot a 101 (7 under par) to win the event by 10 shots. This team will now play in the Regional qualifier in Wisconsin in September against teams from Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. The winning team will qualify for the National event at Grayhawk in Scottsdale in October and that will be televised on ESPN.
Coach Nathan Kalin says, “This team is very talented and if things go right for them they have a real shot to compete for a National Championship.”
