Michael D. Peterson, 59, of Fremont passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 20223 at Methodist Fremont Health.
Michael was born on Oct. 24, 1962, to Theodore Jr. and Joan (Kinser) Peterson in Shenandoah, Iowa. After high school, Michael served in the United States Army from Oct. 10, 1980 to Sept. 30, 1983. In the mid-1980s, Michael met Sandy O’Hara and together they had a daughter, Courtney. He loved his daughter more than anything. Michael also enjoyed the Nebraska Cornhuskers, horses, motorcycle riding, and traveling to Florida and Sturgis.
He is survived by his daughter, Courtney O’Hara of Duran, Oklahoma; brothers, Kevin (Cathy) Peterson of Fremont, and Kraig (Michelle) Peterson, three grandchildren, Anthony, Caylee and Austin; and his girlfriend of 20 years, Debbie Kriecer.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
