Fremont, NE- The Moo take their 22nd game of the season and tie the series back up at 1 in a 15-4 win against the Badlands Big Sticks. The Moo now move to 6-2 in the second half(22-15 overall) while the Big Sticks move to 5-4 in the second half(22-15 overall).
The Moo would once again open up the scoring in the 2nd inning on a Bentley Boekhout two-run shot that scored himself and Zech Samayoa to make it 2-0. Fremont would blow it open in the 3rd with five runs sparked by a Zane Skansi two-run shot that scored himself and Ben Higdon, then two straight bases-loaded walks, and finally a sac-fly by Tyler Harrington would make it 7-0.
A single by Jared Snyder scoring Austin Baskin, then another Harrington sac-fly put the Moo up 9-0. Badlands would score their four runs of the ballgame in the 6th, but Fremont would wipe that out with a six-run seventh. That was started by a Snyder single that scored Boekhout, then a Kanin Dodge single scored Snyder, and a bases-loaded walk of Matt Spear scored Harrington. A two-run double by Baskin scored Dodge and Skansi, then a sac-fly by Samayoa scored Spear would be added on for the final score of 15-4.
Kai Taylor gets his first win of the season for the Moo going five and a third innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, and striking out seven. Justin Butz was charged with the loss for Badlands going two and a third innings, allowing six runs on five hits, and striking out two.
