The field of 64 is set for the NCAA baseball tournament. 16 regional pairings were announced Monday. Games begin Friday in the double elimination format and will run through Monday if necessary. Sixteen winners advance out of the four-team pods to super regionals. Winners of those best of three series move on to the College World Series in Omaha beginning June 17th.
The Big Ten has two teams in for the first time since 2014. Michigan earned the Automatic bid. Regular season champ, Maryland is in. The SEC has 9 teams in the tournament. #1 Tennessee, #5 Texas A&M, #13 Florida and #14 Auburn. Other national seeds are #2 Stanford, #3 Oregon State, #4 Virginia Tech, #6 Miami, #7 Oklahoma State, #8 East Carolina, #9 Texas, #10 North Carolina, #11 Southern Mississippi, #12 Louisville, #15 Maryland and #16 Georgia Southern.
