Cindra R. “Cindy” Kovar

Cindra R. “Cindy” Kovar, 77 of Fremont passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born Feb. 13, 1945, in Lewellen to Clarence and Norma (Shafer) Scott.
Cindy lived in Lewellen and Leshara before coming to Fremont as a young girl. She graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1963. She worked at Overland Products, Stormor and at the Dodge County Treasurer’s Office. Cindy (Brink) married Leonard E. Kovar on April 20, 1985, at First United Methodist Church in Fremont.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont and was on their funeral lunch circle. Member of the Fremont Eagles #200 Auxiliary. Cindy loved going to casinos, computer games and Jim Reeves country music.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Leonard of Fremont; son, Scott (Theresa) Kovar of Houston; daughter, Debra (Kevin) Vrba of Clarkson; sister, Karen (Kenny) Bentz on Independence, Mo., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty “BJ” Beran.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Tony Dawson of First United Methodist Church in Fremont will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m., also at Moser’s.
