Iris Ann (Frerichs) Buchta passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. She was born Dec. 28, 1944, in Wisner to Herman and Mabel (Brahmer) Frerichs.
She grew up in Wisner and then came to Fremont. Iris married Richard Buchta on June 8, 1962. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 2012.
Iris worked at Campbell’s Soup for 25-plus years and then Valmont for 25-plus years, until retiring in 2017. Iris and Richard had two children.
Iris enjoyed going to the casino, shopping and just spending time with her sister Donna. Iris used to go to Minnesota a lot to visit her father with her son Richard. Iris loved going to the lakes to feed the geese with her son, granddaughter Rina and her great-grandchildren. Iris’ daughter, Toni would come spend time with Iris and just enjoy each other’s company. Iris worked hard her entire life and was an amazing mother and grandmother.
Survived by son, Richard E. Buchta of Fremont, daughter Toni R. Quinlin of Columbus, sister, Donna Murphy of Fremont. One granddaughter Rina E. (Buchta) Robinsonof Fremont, three great-grandchildren also of Fremont.
Iris was preceded in death by her parents; brother; and husband Richard.
