Fremont High School swept the team championships at Friday’s Millard South Track Invitational.
The Fremont girls earned the top spot with 169 points followed by Papillion-LaVista South (91) and Millard North (78). The FHS boys finished with 140 points while Lincoln North Star was the runner-up (85.5) and Millard North was third (85).
Elli Dahl led the girls with wins in the 800 meters (2:20.89) and 1,600 (5:17). Taylor McCabe was second in the 800 in 2:24.12 while Mia Wagner was runner-up in the 1,600 in 5:32.
Lucy Dillon won the 400 in 59.15 while teammate Tania Gleason was first in the 200 in 26.48.
The Tigers swept the relay events. The 4×1 squad of Ella Cooper, Sydney Glause, Dillon and Tania Gleason captured the gold in 50.27. The 4×4 team of Dahl, McCabe, Glause and Dillon won in 4:13.30 while the 4×8 unit of Dahl, Wagner, Maris Dahl and Maddi Grosse broke 10 minutes in 9:59.60.
Hadeley Dowty of the Tigers captured first in the discus with a throw of 121-10.
Braden Taylor won a pair of individual events for the FHS boys. The senior was first in the 400 (51.36) and 1,600 (4:28.13). Micah Moore (10.95 in the 100), Tyson Baker (1:58.52 in the 800), Carter Waters (9:23.45 in the 3,200) and Drew Sellon (14-0 in the pole vault) also claimed individual titles.
Moore, Sellon, Waters and Baker joined forces for top honors in the 1,600-meter relay in 3:28.83 while the 3,200-meter squad of Aaron Ladd, Paulo Murrieta Torres, Caleb Sund and Nolan Miller won in 8:10.22.
