Three Rivers provides community health update

Last week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its county level risk assessment.
COVID-19 Community Levels are a new tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
Currently, Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties are all at the medium risk level. This information can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html. The COVID-19 county level will be updated weekly on Thursdays.

Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) is making changes to their pandemic response. As a result of the significant decrease in the COVID-19 risk, the department will be updating the 3RPHD dashboard weekly starting today and will be updated on Mondays going forward.

COVID-19 vaccine is available within the 3RPHD health district for individuals age 5 and older. There are no out-of-pocket expenses. COVID-19 vaccine for children six months to four years of age will be available in the coming weeks.
Everyone 12 and older is recommended to get a COVID-19 booster shot at least two months after a 1-dose vaccine, Johnson & Johnson, or at least five months after a 2-dose vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna. 3RPHD is offering all vaccines at all our 3RPHD walk-in clinics (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J and this does include 5-11 doses).
Clinics coming up include:
Tuesday (March 8) 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Three Rivers Public Health Department, 2400 N. Lincoln in Fremont.
Friday (March 11) noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Fremont Family YMCA, 810 N Lincoln Ave.
Due to the significant decrease in testing demand, the Total Wellness testing site will only be open through Thursday, March 17, 2022. Appointments are no longer required. The testing site is a drive-through and appointments can be made at this link: https://www.totalwellnesshealth.com/private/3rphd/
Insurance must be billed if available, but there will be NO direct cost to any patient. The site address is at 210 E. Military Avenue in fremont.
The testing hours of operation are for the rest of March are as follows:
Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to noon.
March 15:  8:30 a.m. to noon.
March 17: 8:30 a.m. to noon.
As a reminder, free COVID-19 test kits are available at community locations throughout the 3RPHD health jurisdiction. Residents can have as many as their family needs with a limit of six at one time at no charge. These are important to have on hand so if you or a family member feels a minor COVID-like symptom, you can quickly test to make a decision about how to keep yourself and others that may be around you healthy and safe.
If you are homebound or require special accommodations and wish to receive a COVID-19 test or vaccine, contact Three Rivers at 402-704-2245.
The 3RPHD Data Dashboard will be updated weekly on Mondays starting March 7, 2022 and can be found at: https://www.threeriverspublichealth.org/COVID-19/COVID-19-Updates
