FurEver Home fundraiser set for Saturday

The Fremont/Elkhorn York Rite Masons are joining forces with FurEver Home for a fundraiser on Saturday.

A meal featuring macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fremont Masonic Lodge, located at 350 E. 23rd St. in Fremont.

“I’m really looking forward to this event,” said Martha Bang, executive director of FurEver, during an interview with Walnut Media earlier this month. “It is all you can eat and I think there will be some fun raffle prizes and vendors  there.”

Daren Kizlin of the Fremont York Rite Masons said there will be a variety of cheeses available for the sandwiches. The menu also includes tomato soup, cookies, juice or water.

All of the proceeds will go to FurEver, the dog and cat rescue in Fremont. The donations will help cover the health and nutrition needs of rescues needing more care than normal, Kizlin said in an email.
