The Hooper Care Center, a skilled nursing facility, announced recently that the facility will permanently close on March 31.
The HCC website posted the following message:
“This was a difficult decision made after great effort by our team members to overcome the challenges of operating a skilled nursing facility in a small rural area. The biggest challenge has been attracting and retaining team members to provide the care and support our residents deserve. We simply did not want to reach a point where we could not provide quality care to residents in a well-maintained facility.”
HCC is a 48-bed facility and is a member of the Vetter Senior Living group that has various locations in Nebraska, including Columbus, David City, Elkhorn and Wahoo.
