Fremont Public Schools provided its COVID-19 update on Friday. 
 
There were 38 students not in school that day due to a positive COVID-19 test. There were 120 students absent due to quarantine for exposure while 234 students missed school due to any illness. 
 
There were 11 employees not in school due to a positive COVID-19 test while four were not working due to quarantine for exposure. There were 53 certified teaching staff not at work for any reason.
 
FPS continues to work directly with local public health officials and community leaders in regard to the district’s COVID-19 protocol.
 
The current number of students and staff out of school due to a positive test represents less than 2 percent of the FPS student body and staff.
