Erwin “Andy” J. Anderson, 87 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens of Fremont. He was born on December 28, 1933 in Blair, NE to John and Dorothy (Eliassen) Anderson.
Andy lived most of his life in Fremont. He attended grade school and Fremont High School, but had to leave for a short time because of his father’s illness. He later returned and lettered in track and football.
“Andy” worked with his father as a painter and home decorating (interior and exterior) from 1950 to 1960. He married LaVeeda Connerley on August 7, 1953 in Vermillion, South Dakota. He started working for Pete’s Paint Store in 1960 and remained there until he began his own painting services after 18 years. He retired in 1995.
He is survived by his daughters; Roxanne Anderson of Fremont, NE and Rochelle “Shelly” Anderson of Fremont, NE; grandchildren, A.J. (Ashley) Petersen, Riley Petersen, Summer Petersen; great grandchildren, Mason, Sophia, Karsyn; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Darlene Gardner; special friends, Jerry (Connie) Anderson, Sid (Hazel) Dillon, and Bill (Tracy) File; fishing buddies, Rich and Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law; wife, LaVeeda; son, Russell Anderson; brother, George; and sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Max Davis; nieces, Cindy Miller and Courtney Anderson.
