Omaha man sentenced to intensive supervised probation

An Omaha man was sentenced to 30 months of intensive supervised probation during Dodge County District Court proceedings on Monday. 
 
Taylor R. Daniels, 29, had two cases, including possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving stolen property. Judge Geoffrey Hall gave Daniels 30-month sentences on each of the charges to run concurrently. 
 
In other district court news:
 

  • Anthony Morabito, 35, of Fremont entered a guilty plea to a burglary charge and the court ordered a presentence investigation. Sentencing is set for Dec. 20. 
  • David M. Nabity, 36, of of rural Hooper was sentenced to 24 months of probation for failing to register as a sex offender. He was placed on the registry for 25 years in June of 2006 for first-degree sexual assault of a minor. He had failed to complete his mandatory verification status with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office in February. 
  • Michael Wright, 41, of Fremont was sentenced to 30 months of intensive supervised probation for tampering with physical evidence from an April incident. 
  • Andrew Whitley, 40, of Fremont made a first appearance on a motion to revoke probation. He is on probation for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and driving during a 15-year suspension. A probation violation has been filed. The court continued the matter to Nov. 29. 
  • Gabriel Medina Jr., 45, of Fremont had a bond review in two cases. The court set a bond of $40,000. Both of his cases were continued to Dec. 6. Medina has entered guilty pleas on charges of possession of a controlled substance from incidents in July and September.
