Marcia I. Leedom, age 83 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Friday, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Nye Pointe in Fremont. She was born November 17, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa to Russell and Grace (Barrett) Bainbridge.
Marcia grew up in Sioux City, IA and graduated from high school there. She married Willie (Wilbur) Leedom on October 14, 1956 in Sioux City. They moved to Fremont in 1962. She dedicated years of service to local businesses, including waitressing at Al’s Café and managed the bar at the Holiday Lodge in Fremont. She retired in 2000 from First Data Resources in Omaha after 10 years as a financial fraud investigator. She loved to camp with her children, go out dancing, was an avid Husker fan and enjoyed shopping.
She is survived by her sons, Russell (Pam) Leedom of Fremont and Eric Leedom of Monroe, IA; daughters Lori (Ali) Leedom-Batab of Omaha, Corinne Stephens of Ashland, MO, Brenda Hansen (fiancé Pat Perry) of Fremont, and Gail Pfingston of Fremont; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Jim Stephens.
Funeral will be 10 A.M., Friday October 15, 2021 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM. on Thursday also at Moser’s. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
