Thursday Recap and Friday Schedule

The Fremont High girls golf team finished in seventh place at the HAC Championships at the Norfolk Country Club, Thursday.  Fremont shot a 407.  Lincoln Southwest won the meet with a 315.  The Tigers Ansley Giesselmann finished eleventh, shooting an 83.  Nicole Kolbas of Lincoln Pius X, was the meet medalist, with a 73.
The Fremont Tigers picked up a pair of wins in a volleyball triangular at Al Bahe Gymnasium, Thursday night.  Fremont beat Omaha Bryan, 25-7, 25-5.  The Tigers also defeated Omaha Burke, 25-15, 25-16.  Fremont is now 17-5 on the season.
The Fremont High softball team picked up two more wins, Thursday night, at the Doris Bair Complex, in Lincoln.  Fremont blanked Lincoln North Star, twice, 8-0 and 9-0.  Ella Cooper earned the win in the circle, in both games.  Cooper and Mackenzie Kinning both homered in game two.  Fremont is now 26-9 on the year.
 
 
 
The Bergan Cross Country teams ran at the Lincoln Lutheran Invite, at Pioneers Park, yesterday.   The Bergan boys finished eighth in the eleven team race with 123 points.  Wahoo won the meet with 32.  Carter DeMuth led the Knights, finishing 21st in 19:37.52.  Justin Sherman of Cornerstone Christian was first in 17:57.10.
In the girls race, Bergan’s Sophie O’Neill finished tenth in 24:06.12.  Omaha Concordia won the team race with 27 points.  Brekyn Kok of Cornerstone Christian was first in 21:51.04.
