Shirley Ann Lund, 88, of Fremont, NE, passed away, Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Shirley was born July 5, 1933, in Fremont, to Benjamin and Elsie (Greenleaf) Hoover. She was a graduate from Fremont High School and married James Hooper in 1952 at South Dakota. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1960. Shirley married Harold Lund on November 3, 1965 in Fremont. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2008.
Shirley was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. She worked at the former Campbell’s Soup Company for 32 years.
Shirley is survived by her son, James (Cindy) Hooper of LaVista, NE; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; son, Robert Hooper; brothers, Albert Parker and Robert Hoover; and sister, Gretchen Sullivan.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Monday, September 27, 2021, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with a rosary said following the visitation at 6:00 PM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
