The Fremont Tigers volleyball team began the 2021 season hosting Columbus Thursday night at Al Bahe Gymnasium. Fremont will hand Karen Nelson her first victory as head coach of the Tigers, with a three sets to one win, 25-23, 25-20, 27-29, 25-14.
Fremont was led by senior Grace Williams, who recorded 13 kills and a block.
Fremont is 1-0, while Columbus is 0-1. The visiting Discoverers will play in the Norfolk Invite, tomorrow. Fremont will play at the Omaha North Invite, Saturday.
