Lee Buhl Nielsen passed away July 15, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE. He was born to Chris A. and Alice Irene Nielsen in rural Fremont, on July 18, 1934.
He resided near Fremont and attended Fremont Public Schools until he was a junior in high school, then moving to Whiting, IA where he graduated. He returned to Fremont, where he married Carolyn Jean Miller at Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Victor Hoffman, on January 14, 1955. They resided in Fremont and the area for sixty-six years working at Gambles Warehouse before retiring and farming east of Fremont.
Lee was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn; son, Tim A. Nielsen, grandchildren, Jessie (Vinnie) Krikac and children, Calum and Katelyn; Chris L. (Mary Jane) Nielsen, Tara (Brad) League, their children, Cameron, Grace and Cody; Spencer Nielsen and his son, Grayson Nielsen; sister, Lois Nicholson of Metamora, IL; nephews and nieces.
Lee was preceded in death by his son, Randy Nielsen; his parents and grandparents; sister, Dona Johnson.
Memorial Service is 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial in Memorial Cemetery.
