Nickerson is planning various activities Saturday for its one-day 150th-anniversary celebration.
Events begin at 10 a.m. with volleyball at Herrick Memorial Park. A parade is scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by children’s activities in the park. A barbecue cook-off contest is also scheduled after the parade at the One Horse Saloon.
Food will also be available in the park with a beer garden starting at 2 p.m. The festival’s tractor pull is also scheduled for 2 p.m.
Music will wrap up the celebration. Down Memory Lane will perform from 4:30 to 8:30 in front of the One Horse Saloon. At 9 p.m., North Bend native and country artist Dylan Bloom will take the stage.
