NDOT awards US-275 contract to Koss

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer on three segments of US-275 between Scribner and West Point.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) on Friday awarded Koss Construction of Topeka, Kan., the contract for the work on three segments that include: Scribner North (for $37,772,493), West Point South (for $18,546,966), and West Point North and South (for $26,894,819).

The project will expand 275 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane divided expressway from Scribner to West Point.

NDOT Director John Selmer said the contract for the segments has been decades in the making. He said a collaborative effort and innovative approach will provide much needed mobility and safety improvement in the region.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and is expected to be open to traffic in the spring of 2024.
